Yaprak is an architect by background with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Since founding DOYEN in 2016, Yaprak has been providing diverse project delivery advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients in delivering their capital projects regardless of size, type and nature. So far, advisory services have been provided for projects with total construction value in excess of C$700 million. Prior to DOYEN, for 8 years, Yaprak worked at the Major Projects group of Infrastructure Ontario – a world renowned procurement lead for major public infrastructure projects in Ontario, Canada. As a senior executive at Infrastructure Ontario, Yaprak led the initiation, procurement and delivery of more than a dozen major social infrastructure projects across various sectors and using different forms of Alternative Financing and Procurement delivery models (otherwise known as Public Private Partnerships or PPPs/P3s). The total value of these projects were in excess of C$3.5 billion in construction value and in excess of C$8.5 billion in overall contract value (all values in year 2016 dollars). Prior to joining Infrastructure Ontario, Yaprak worked for reputable engineering, construction and project management companies in Canada, France, United Kingdom and Turkey. She was involved in many international assignments and projects ranging from civil projects (such as ports, oil facilities and roads) to sports facilities and housing projects. Acting as a consultant and a senior member of a general contracting company, she led various project initiatives, provided input to a number of major claims files and provided consulting services to a major investment bank. Yaprak is a former member of the Chamber of Architects, Section of UIA (International Union of Architects) in Turkey.
